About Me

I’m Matt Lewis — a software testing and quality leader with over 25 years of experience helping organisations deliver complex technology change with confidence.

Passionate about the profession of software testing and the tangible value it brings to businesses, products, and customers when it’s treated as a core capability rather than an afterthought. I’ve spent my career working on large-scale enterprise transformations, leading testing and QA functions for international blue-chip organisations and delivering software through Agile, DevOps, and other modern delivery models.

I don’t always agree with the dominant narratives around QA and software testing — particularly the idea that quality is a phase, a gate, or simply a cost to be minimised. In my experience, quality is a strategic enabler, and getting it right materially changes outcomes for teams, customers, and organisations. Challenging these assumptions, and learning how our craft continues to evolve, is what keeps me engaged and improving.

This blog is a space to share practical insights, lived experience, and considered opinions on testing, quality, leadership, and delivery — grounded in real work, not theory.
